Default Steel Toe tour at Wisc engine plant?

Heading out to Wisc next week to see the Museum and then up to the engine plant for a tour. On the museum site, I see they offer a "Steel Toe" tour. Looks like this a more indepth tour, 38 bucks and includes a ticket to the museum. Anyone here ever do that particular tour.

I haven't. But, the museum is $16 or $12 for HOG members anyway, so go for it! And, please let us know if it's cool. Thanks.

Yes, and it was pretty cool. You get to see a bit more of the factory than the normal tour. I thought it was worth it.

Made reservations and bought the ticket today for this tour. Will report back on how it is.

I'm surprised it didn't cost you a Hundred Dollars.

Is there any other business out there that actually charges for a tour of their facilities?

We went on a great tour of the Victory plant in Spirit Lake Iowa. Not only did it not cost us anything, they put on a party afterwards.

Actually HD does give free tours of their plants. Have been thru both the one in York, Pa and the one in Kansas. Mo. But this Steel Toe your is to be a more indepth tour and they transport ya from the Museum and then back. Not a bad deal I guess.

Any chance to get into the real workings of any kind of semi automated production plant is worth a look if you own the product it makes . From raw to running is quit interesting really .

You will enjoy it, I haven't done the engine plant tour but I have been to the museum. I actually live only 12 blocks from it. Where are you staying at when you come up? If you have any questions about the city feel free to pm me.

Tlempke Gee, you are close to the Museum. And thot I was close to York being about two hours away. Going to stay at the Days Inn in Wauwatosa. Didnt look too far away and they had some pretty decent rates. Anxious to see how much more of the plant they show over the reg tour. And have heard the Museum is real decent. Looking forward to seeing your part of the country
