Default Bet that left a mark ..

A little while ago our quite night ended . Sounded fairly local , a ricer hitting it hard had just got 3rd when I heard him hit something . I am hoping the guy lives you could hear the ambulance rolling off fast , no life flights .

Guess what really grabbed me was not 1/2 hr later I,m hearing 2 Harley's doing the same **** without the loud sudden whack noise . Riding the big road lottery everyday is one thing , hearing who wins and loses is something completely different . Don't think I'm going to sleep well for a while .

6 years ago the same thing happened.

It was Christmas and there was a metric just tearing up the neighborhood. My boys and other family members were out playing with the kids new motorized scooters. We went inside but the metric was still just tearing it up. We were inside the house and we hear the metric hit our street... he was flying and couldn't stop. Hit a parked car across the street. Kid died because of it... and it was his car he hit... in front of his own house. His parents asked if we could watch his little sister while they went to the hospital... it was horrible. She didn't understand that her big brother wasn't coming home... what a Christmas it was for her.

Dammit Haus!!! Took me 5 minutes to read your post because of that avatar!!!!

Saw a Ducati take the side of mountain because of some cage riding his rear wheel. Don't think he died but I know he wouldn't be able to ride for a few months. Like they say don't ride faster than your guardian angel can fly.

It hit's a nerve when you hear or see it. Today a M/C cop had a pick up truck back out in front of him while he was doing 35. I've talked to him a few times, his boy plays with my twins on the football team. Hits kinda close to home. He laid it down an hit the truck on a slide. Broke both legs an a hip, haven't heard anything else.

Some folks feel they are 10 feet tall and bulletproof and many of them are rice riders but there are HD riders who fit the bill as well. I hope those who are still with us recover quickly and condolences to those who didn't make it.

y'all ride safe

Exactly why I'm not sure every idiot w/ decent credit should be allowed to buy a 9-10sec. machine w/o some kind of training. A kid can very easily go in on their 16th b-day and buy a 400lb-190hp "teleportation device" w/ no prior riding experiance what so ever (assuming they have partents stupid enough to sign on the dotted line). 10:1 odds says they won't see their 17th. Sad.

If they "let her rip" for 3 gears I can garauntee you they were doing WELL over 100mph before biting it. Not too promising.
