I bought a BAL-1 for my 2010 Sportster today and man is that "baby" bright. I went out after dark stood about 50' behind my bike with the brake light activated and it will actually hurt you eyes if you stare at it. There are three brightness setting I had it set on the brightest. Bought it at a local dealer for $199.00 plus tax(of course). IMO this is an add-on everyone should look into.
