RE: Maltese crosses or NOT!
It's very simple: If you don't like it don't wear it. I've been wearing them since I was 16 years old. Have one tattooed on my arm and one is on the back of my vest.

RE: Maltese crosses or NOT!
Let's put the whole symbol thing to the biker test:
If you saw a biker down, and he had an "Iron Cross" or whatever you want to call it, on his bike, vest, jacket, tattoo, or whatever,
would you stop and help him?
If the answer is yes, the this whole subject is IRRELEVANT.
If the answer is no, then you are not a biker.
It's about the road, not the decoration. So, get over it.

I hate german helmets, the only person that should wear one is a WWII soldier who shot the german out from under it, and the iron cross well it was around long before hitler but I dont care for it, but every soldier that has died defending our America has done so for our rights, and free speach is a primary one, So even if I dont like it, they can carry on IMO, I wont respect them, but nither will I try and force my opinion on them.

Yo, that is what the ****'s wore in WW2. Yeah, I am of the jewish persuasion. I wish that this wasn't so darn popular now, even though I know that the Maltese cross came from the people ine Malta. It reminds me of the German crosses around the ****'s neck on their uniform. How blatantly rude to certain people of different religious backrounds that is. I think it is all Jesse James fault with his West Coast Choppers logo being the first one I remember seeing. Any other opinions? Good, bad, whatever. I will never think that is a "cool" emblem. Lets be original and make our own or something. It's jsut wrong. Blah blah blah.

RE: Maltese crosses or NOT!
As most have pointed out, there is a lot of history behind the cross -- not just **** history.
But since mainstream America views the cross differently, I for one would not be caught dead with it on my bike, helmet, jacket etc.
Normally I do not care what other people think of me or my actions (within reason), but in this case I do care for I do not want to be misconstrued as supporting something that I definitely do not support in the slightest.
