Got a friend that I ride with a lot. He has a buddy that rides with us.

His buddy has a Red 07 Ultra. Was in Lafayette, La, his rear tire went out.
Both him and his wife hit the ground doing around 55 mph. He has some broke ribs, his right ear is torn off from a 1/2 helmet and his wife's wrist and all is broke.
There was other riders with them that said they didn't see him run over anything.

Know we spend a lot of time about how many miles we can git out of a set of tires .
And I'm runnin this weekend with my wife on a tire that is slick on the middle and threads on the outside.
I know better and have a tire ordered but both the OL and me wanted to ride and we rode all day with friends yesterday. Squirely tire and all......

The dude that went down had ridden to Lafayette, Lousisana

Yesterday we rode up to Trinity, to Crockett, and up to Palestine, and ate at a Mexican resturant and rode FM 323 down threw the woods in a loop back to Groveton, and from there to Livingston.
I rode with a dude that was a logger and knew the roads.

 

Wow sorry to hear that. Hope he recovers quickly. There's been a few motorcycle related accidents in the Lafayette area lately. Just Friday my dad laid his StreetGlide down at about 10mph when a truck came into his lane at Ambassador and i10.
