Glad you're ok and hope they take care of your bike to full satisfaction. I'm surprised it's not totaled considering the frame.

+1 on that, especially considering the hourly service rates at the dealer?

To the OP - glad you're okay!!

Wow - very similar to my situation (see post #34). Dealer's replacing front fender, right fork slider, covers, engine guard, left saddlebag guard, floorboard, floorboard bracket, left muffler...AND THE FRAME. Engine guard bent back & cracked the tab where it connects to the frame. $7,200 repair cost.

Also on the mend,
JR

Glad to hear it wasn't worse - thanks for sharing and reminding all of us to be prepared, and that it only takes less than a second.

The best to you, I hope you have quick, safe and complete recovery.

Update:

My Fat Bob was finished a couple of weeks ago, and I rode it around the block to test things out. There was a chip on the mounting tab for the gas tank, so the dealer took it back and will get the tank reshot.

As for me, I'm recovering pretty well. Have a follow-up with my arm surgeon next month, and hopefully I'll get a clean bill of health from that.

Here's a picture of what my ride looked like after the accident.
