ok read a bit more, you're from south carolina? i ride in NY year round with long john's, a hoodie underneath a schott jacket. and NY is way colder than SC. seriously if you're going to ride in the winter be prepared to be cold pretty much no matter what you wear.

Well, if nothing else there's some good info on cold weather gear, nice to know if you live in Minn like some of us do..

Here our average temps are in the 40's.

Sounds like you want the jacket to do everything. No jacket (alone) is going to keep you warm in those temps. Get a good base layer and the jacket will work better. The Skinny's from Schampa look like a winner.

Man this is a tough crowd!

I had the Harley heated vest and heated gloves. I rode as low as 25 degrees and was always toasty warm.

Yeah they make it where you really don't want to post anything. I guess no one ever ****s up!?! I do but I'll admit it and ask for help oh well.

Like I said and I should have put in the first post. I want a jacket that will let me ride to work and back home without outing on extra layers. Plus pants and gloves, after the little info I got from the great guys on this site I'm going with the hd heated jacket liner and Gerbing T5 heated gloves. Now looking for overpants and some Wellington style boots.
