Default biker film

Maybe with all the problems Harleys are having,it would be nice if the film
industry produced a decent, sensible film about bikers,i dont know maybe a
bunch of guys on a road trip ending up in Sturgis.
I read some time ago there were plans to make a sequel to Easy Rider but it never happened.

Hollywood make a decent, sensible film..........

Sorry OP, could not resist. It would be an interesting theme for a History channel maybe instead of the "Gangland" episodes.

"decent, sensible."

"sequel to 'Easy Rider'"?

Did you see "Easy Rider"? Those guys weren't exactly mainstream. Do you remember how they were able to....

nevermind

Last I read, Sons of Anarchy had pretty strong ratings, beating its closest competitor on basic cable by over 30%. Whether people consider it "decent" or not is a matter of personal taste and opinion. Same with movies. I personally enjoyed Wild Hogs. It probably had the greatest mainstream appeal of any film with bikes in it, that I've ever seen. It was a leave-your-brain-at-home and enjoy the laughs kinda flick, but that's what makes a mainstream film, mainstream. It's entertainment and that's what people want. Cult flicks like Easy Rider and Wild One will always be film staples among hardcore bike fans, but they and films like them will never bring biking nor sell bikes to the general public, let alone sell seats at the box office.

FAT CHANCE of that happening, the whole biker image has been bad too long to all of a sudden change for the better, need to start off small on reversing the image of the bad a$$ biker first.

I think a prequel to Easy Rider could be a cool movie.
But what makes you think Hollywood would want to help out Harley?
