I read some time ago there were plans to make a sequel to Easy Rider but it never happened.
First things first, Easy Rider was and is not a "biker" flick. The main characters rode motorcycles, that is it. Just like Sons of Anarchy is a night time soap opera with the main characters riding motorcycles in a motorcycle club.

Second the movie you speak of was done by the Travel Channel (lol), All Access Strugis. The problems Harley Davidson is, was having is resolved; prices are now placed on the motorcycle showing MSRP. Basically, the same as any car dealership. That was the BIGGEST problem with Harley Davidson, dealerships. As all here have read or posted each dealership is different.

You could pitch an idea to Hollywood about your friends and you riding around town stopping at starbucks in the am, then hitting the local burger joint, finishing off with an ice cream social handing out cones to little kids in your leather...image...you'd change the image of the Harley rider for ever.

A) Uhh, a sequel.... have you actually seen Easy Rider? You do know they both DIE in the end of the movie right?

B) Maybe you meant Prequel

C) Even that's tough now with Dennis Hopper really dead.

LMAO!!!

A. With the profit Harley has been making every year, through a recession, while other companies go belly up, I wasn't aware they were having "problems."

B. I think you just described Wild Hogs, except the trip doesn't end in Sturgis. My favorite recent one is Hell Ride, but it's not a Mr. Rogers type movie, if that's what you want, so stick with Wild Hogs (which is actually a very good comedy).

C. yes, somebody made an Easy Rider prequel or sequel and I'll probably watch it - I absolutely hate Easy Rider, so it can't be any worse.

Maybe the government would pay for it with stimulus money.

I was being facetious. I often assume, incorrectly most of the time, that my attempts at sarcasm will be universally recognized.

While I thought it was a great movie, it by no means displayed any semblances of decency or sensibility, which is what the OP was lobbying for in a new movie.
