Actually, the only shock is gonna be the weather, and the FOOD will be MUCH better, especially the pizza & Chinese, & bakery items. Among people, I think you'll find a little more loyalty & commeraderie among friends, & a higher level of integrity. And of course, there ain't NOTHIN' like the Jersey Shore in the summertime!!

The weather has been crappy here in Jersey.. nothing but rain, and cold days in between. But welcome to Jersey!

Freehold NJ "Cruise night" right near you and Wildwood "Roar to the Shore" spring and fall event. Some call that NJ Bikeweek. Definately worth going to see. I'm sure you'll find many people in your area who also ride. Welcome to Jersey.

What does this mean?

A lot of areas of jersey are real nice. Some do fit the stereotype but most are nice. People r people you'll get along fine.

I live in NJ a bit south of where you're moving to. Don't let anyone tell you any different, there are plenty of places to ride that are off the beaten path, especially when you head to northern Jersey or along the Delaware River. I rode up the Delaware yesterday up Route 29 from Trenton up through Pohatcong. I was a great ride with some great vistas of the river swollen with all the rain we've had , lots of farmland and plenty of quiet roads. I actually got the route from the Harley Davidson/Map Maps iPhone app and configured it for my GPS.

I have routes mapped out for the shore and pine barons which I plan on hitting shortly if the weather holds up. You'll find plenty of places to ride here.
