Default Rear tire - 2008 Ultra

Hey all,

I need a rear tire on my 2008 Ultra. Can you put a fatter tire on the rim or change the rim to accept a fatter tire like the 2009 or newer? Thanks.

You would have to have the wider fender, like the 09's have, if the 08 doesn't have it, to handle the 180 tire. The fenders are wider on the 09's and up, to accommodate the 180 tire.

You might want to consider the Dunlop E3 tire...I think it is MU90HB16 which is a bit wider then stock using the stock rim.

+1 on the E3. I run the MU90B16 rear and MT90B16 on the front. The rear is slightly larger than the stock Dunlop and fits and works great.
