Guess they would write me a ticket for my pipes, though they are not loud unless I want them to be... But then again, I won't be going through New England anytime soon, and if I have to would probably put stockers back on... Everything else is legit. To think our tax dollars go to this is rediculous. All that money could go to something better for sure.
I have been through many DUI checkpoints on my bike(s) and never had an issue... in fact the officers have always been very professional. I had to show one young trooper where my insp stickers where (Va requirement) and point out my wife was holding my license and registration up for him. But I guess their priority was drunks, not motorcyclists breaking some law.

Makes me wonder about this whole stimulus/cost cutting lie we keep hearing about.
Aren't they supposed to cut some of the less important spending?
We got cities doing these stops "just for the added funding"?

My friends, you run your modified exhaust, blasting through the neighborhood, pissing everyone one off. Seriously, what did you expect? Here in Calif, our Governor signed SB 435. Hopefully, we will get that ammended to make it retroactive.

I with other posters. I like the idea of HUGE organized runs to flood these check points. Then turn around on the next ramp and come back through until they close up shop. Then if all the bikers who got tickets could get some pro bono legal help and fight every ticket in court. Even if everyone just should up and requested a court date it would really mess up the court's calendar.
