I'm not big on extended warranty's. Too often one has to fight for their claims, and you are somewhat limited to any upgrades you can do to the motor.
$1440 could get you some nice upgrades.

My thoughts are that if its for a bike or electronics or appliances, or whatever, they've already got it figured if they have to pay one in a thousand claims, they made money. I don't waste my money on those things, except my daughter's cell phone which she abuses on a regular basis.

I'm not going to tell you to "get it or not get it", that's your decision. I did however get one for myself. That being said, just remember that the price of these is VERY NEGOTIABLE!!!.

I'm bought the 7 year on my heritage with tire coverage. And I didn't even have to think about it.
Not a Damn thing on my Hog is cheap when it comes to internals. Just a transmission rebuild on my 06 Low Rider cost over $2000. 2 months out of warranty.
If it had not been for the bearing crap my ride would have been down a few months.
I have a 2007 FLSTC. And I have a $50 bill in my wallet. My repairs are covered.

Question about this warranty....does it have to be bought at the dealer you bought your bike? Tried to buy my last bike at my local dealer but they just couldnt get one to sell me. So had to got to a dealer with the bike but wouldnt buy a thing off of them that i didnt have to.

You can get the extended warranty and you can cancel it anytime you want and get a difference back. I know you can do it with cars that way. Not sure about bikes but I would assume it would be along the same lines. But I could be wrong on that. I personally don't buy any extended warranty's on anything because to me its a waste of money.

I spent around $1400 on my warrenty when I bought my back 4 years ago. Luckily or unluckily depend on how you look at it I would have spent almost $6000 on various repairs in the last 4 years. But out of pocket I've only had to give $350.
So it was worth it to me.
