extended warranty quote

9 times out of 10 the extended warrentee is a waste of money; for that 1 out of 10 is a great deal. For the person selling it, it's ALWAYS a great deal. It's nothing but pure profit for them.
It's all in how much your willing to gamble. The odds are on your side. Personally, I'd pass.

Local dealer here sold me the RPM 1 extended warranty. $1,200 for four years. No deductible, and covers more than Harley's. Right after I got it the fuel pump went out, replaced no charge. Bike is in the shop now, compensator shot, will be no charge upgrade to SE comp.
I had 63,000 miles at the end of my 2 year warranty (86,000 now). Figured with all the work that had been done to it, and the amount of miles I ride, it would be a good deal. That was 6 months ago. I have no doubt I will recoup my money and then a substantial amount more as I plan on keeping the bike.
To me it comes down to how many miles you ride. If you ride 5,000 a year, don't waste your money. On the other hand, if you are riding 35,000 miles per year and plan on keeping it, it would be a safe bet.
This, like anything else, is "to each his own". I sleep better at night having it!

Question about this warranty....does it have to be bought at the dealer you bought your bike? Tried to buy my last bike at my local dealer but they just couldnt get one to sell me. So had to got to a dealer with the bike but wouldnt buy a thing off of them that i didnt have to.

Well it's worth it to me. As mentioned above, for those of us that actually ride our bike a substantial number of miles per year, you can't loose. I just got my '07 Heritage (65,000 miles) out of the shop. They replaced the stator, voltage regulator and front wheel bearings. Total bill with towing was $1000.00. My cost; $50.00. I had to buy the battery however because it wasn't worth anything prorated.
