Good point. I presently have a coat on all the sheet metal (waiting to be wiped off).
I did wipe down the tank last night with a wet washcloth before applying it (to avoid adding swirls), but I likely washed some of the wax off this morning. LOL I thought of this before reading your post. The bike just sat there begging for it! LOL
Gonna let it sit a while, before wiping the wax off.

Best stuff I ever used--use it on my bikes,my truck & car, even my vintage guitars. It's called Nanowax.

I tell ya what. Black flat out SUCKS when trying to get the perfect shine. Dammit! LOL
This stuff looked so great in the garage. Then a quick jaunt for a sammich at BK brings out the sun (and swirls). Pretty sure following it up with the spray detailer (like someone here had mentioned) would have made it look good.
Rather than spend more money, I'm just gonna cover it up with the Zaino that I was using before.
I'm also thinking that I should have avoided the Micro Fiber towels recommended on the label. The soft Cotton might not have left the swirls. Even Zaino don't look as good without the cotton towl.
Keep in mind, this bike is black. Likely have different results with other colors.

That`s what the Porsche guys use - good enough for them - good enough for my scoot.
