One mission and you are hooked.
You don't have to ride to join.
Just bring a US flag.

No, we were burying my aunt at the cemetary, the pastor was speaking, when all of a sudden, about 50 bikers come roaring up following a hearst. They were all revving their engines and making a scene. Very disrespectful to the other mourners IMO.....might not have been the PGR, but I hope they do not do that

I am sorry your family was disturbed at your time of mourning. I doubt the group you encountered was the PGR the reverence of this group is very high, many are prior service and revert back to their military bearings on PGR missions. I would bet what you encountered was an MC or the rideing buddies of the one being put to rest that day. The PGR is easly identified; Old Glory and the Yellow and Blue flags flying. Look up the PGR on the web and read the testimonials. Respect is automatic, patriotism is a given.

I agree with DEGRider, that most likely that was not the PGR. We are very concious of other services going on when we enter a Cemetary, and at least here in Mo that would not fly. I think that if anyone would start revving their engine in a cemetary here on a mission they would be snatched up by the Ride Captian and asked to leave. Only a guess though, because I have not seen it happen. I too would guess it to be a MC laying a brother to rest.

I ride with Rolling Thunder and have assisted a few PGR escorts, they are a standup organization, and I am very proud when asked to assist.
Keep up the great work.

I know for sure a guy revving his engine, cage or bike, would not fly with the PGR members I ride with, especially at the cemetary. I have fairly loud pipes on my bike and I either ride in neutral if possible, especially going downhill or I will be in 2nd. gear when I should be in 1st. to keep the noise level as low as possible.

Everyone puts their cellphones on silent and/or vibrate as well. And I agree with the dark glasses comment, you will shed a tear, I don't care who you are.
