There are plenty of people who don't understand this whole 2 wheel motorcycle thing, so why worry about 3 or 4 wheels? They're all just mechanical contraptions that let people feel alive in the wind.

If I ever get to the point I can't handle 2 wheels a trike would be my choice. Never cared for sidecars except for vintage military models. But never once thought when seeing a sidecar "why that?"

Trikes (especiall the Triglide) are cool. Sidecars are cool (I had a 90 Ultra with a sidecar) and CanAm Spyders are cool (I drove a prototype back in 07). It's all about what you like and what you want. They are all motorcycles. Harley had trikes way back when they started making sidecars. The best thing about my sidecar (except for the sidecar wheelies) was not having to put my feet down when I stopped. The problem I had was that I also wanted a plain two wheelers to lean into the twisties but couldn't afford two Harleys. Oh well. Ride what you want. Just ride.

Then there are are the kits that are actually training wheels that retain the bikes's rear wheel. After that, we get the trike conversions which H-D is now selling. How about a cool side car? Handling wouldn't be any worse, and Mama would probably be more comfy. When the time comes, I will go sidecar. Plus, for some reason, people love 'em.
When my time comes, something like what's in the below video would keep a smile on my face.

I am not a trike fan at all and if it gets to the point where I can't ride on 2 wheels then I will sell the bikes and get a hot rod car. My Grandpa is 81 and had his 2007 Softail Delux conveted into a Champion trike and he loves it. He had had both hips replaced so it was just to hard for him to keep putting is feet up and down all the time. Since it got the bike converted into a trike he rides all the time now and loves it. I have rode his trike a few times and I do not like the way it feels one bit and you should see the looks I get on it LOL! I'm 32 and look and dress younger. I was behide a cop on it and the cap was looking in his rearview and just smiling and shaking his head.

A bud and I were setting at a spot we like to stop at to take in the scenery. This bike pulled up and as it came to a stop these training wheels came down, he stopped pulled out a Cane and walked down to the lake.
I thought that was pretty cool how technology kept him riding.

Sometimes, I like to just ease around in this little rig.
