saw a stranded biker
He saw me at the stop light and waved me down. He was at the Shell station for 5 hours no one would help him. He looked raged and his bike too. His rear spocket bolts sheared. Looking at his dyna 88 twin cam with 37000 miles on it,completly bald front tire, balding rear, coffee spilt on the exhaust, hasnt been washed in years looked like. Been dropped and scraped down the side. Back pack strapped to the sissy bar. Dude had tatoos, piercings, so skinny you could see vain in his body, bandanna, dark skin from being in the sun, long hair, smelled like the road and cigarettes.
He needed money for a tow. He tried flagging down a group of "bikers" a couple on scooters, and various other people. No one would help him. So I talked to him for 30 minutes grabed 40 bucks from the ATM at the shell station. Gave him the money shook his hand wished him luck and was off. Hope he made it all right. He was traveling from PA.

Or, the guy scammed you? His buddy could have pulled the van back around to load up the pos bike and go home after a good day of scamming the RUB's? Hope that's not what he was doing, but you never know?

Yeah, hate to be cynical, but I wonder what he would have said had you offered to come back with a trailer.
I'm bettin' he lived within a quarter mile of the Shell station.
How come people with no money, always have the coin for tatoo's and crap?
