Default What do you do for that brite arss sun set

I was riding west the other day when the sun was in that certain place that sunglasses didn't work had to hold my hand up to see out in front. Any of you have ideas besides stopping till its down???????

Yeah, don't ride that direction. Ride north or south.. but you knew that...right? LOLOL!!

Better glasses will make it more bearable. Otherwise wait 15-20 minutes and the sun will not be so annoying.

I wear a helmet with a face shield. Then I put black tape across the top of the face shield so that a slight tilt of the head blocks the sun. If the sun is so low that you can't block it like that, then you're SOL and might as well go in a different direction or wait until it sets. If you're blinded by the sun, then traffic behind you is also blinded and probably can't see you.

I had this problem with my Panoptix transition glasses, wouldn't get dark enough going directly into the sun. I use my Wiley X glasses now and no problem with riding into the sun.
