Good reply,You put him in his place,I'd do the same.I used to ride metrics, always wanted a HD but didn't want to spend over 20k on a bike till I wanted a touring bike, compared them all-price wise, wound up with an Ultra, money well spent, but would never bash another brand and will never "BUY" anything except an HD.

I have a friend who hates Harley's and takes every chance he gets to express his opinion on the product. Am I the only guy here who actually takes this type of behavior as a compliment? It's nothing more than bike envy. I just grin at him and shake my head and agree with as much sarcasm as I possibly can.

Kudos to you for showing how much class some of us Harley riders/owners have - nicely done!

Great response OP! Even if it isn't "entirely" true.
Funny - you mention that - even faced with the fact that Harleys can require more maintenance, there is definitely a brand loyalty that no other manufacturer can hope to obtain.
I always WANTED a Harley! Can't say the same about another brand.
Sure I've drooled over specific models - but I've never said I have to have a Honda.
