Foot pegs, not floor boards. How do you
Well here is something I haven't seen before on this forum, but have spoke with other 'light bike' riders with similar experiences.
Cruisin down the highway at around 70mph, with an annoying 20-30mph cross wind and an approaching truck is coming towards you (two lane road, nothing wrong, yet). As he comes past you for a brief moment there is no cross wind and then woosh it hits you all at once and one of feet almost slides off the peg.... OK, so when the next truck (and next and next and....) you put more pressure down on your footpegs and shazam no more problem except about a half hour later when legs begin to tire or your back starts to compain...
A friend on a Dyna got some pegs that have a 'spur' on the outside to help keep your feet in place... Anyone have any of these on your bikes or a good recommendation how to resolve this issue? (Most of my riding is with a strong cross wind...)

I assume you are talking about your feet being next to the shifter and brake pedal. I still have mid mount controls on my Low Rider, but mostly ride with my feet on the highway pegs. I have not had any problem with my feet being blown off of the pegs, but I have felt them move. When that happens, I turn my toes in toward the bike. Since I still have the mid mounts controls, I have plenty of room on the highway pegs. Oh,,,I forgot to mention that I put the 5" pegs on for my highway pegs. That was $35.00 well spent.

Yeah, I've got the Kuryakyn forward controls with more chrome than rubber... If I have my feet up on my highway bars I don't have that problem, but I also don't ride with them in one position very long.... I'll try pointing my toes in as I do ride bowlegged!

I have them on my 05 RK.
I use them on long rides. They allow you to rest with the pressure on your heel and take the pressure off of your calf. Just one more way to relax while on 2 wheels.

I got my Kuryakyn Switchblades in today (from BikerHaven, excellent prices and delivery) and used the extensions from my existing Kuryakyn foot pegs and they are fantastic!! And they look sharp when folded up or swung out....

TX, do a search on a post I put up a few days ago....."The Last Footpegs You'll Ever Own."
I put the Kuryakyn Iso-Mini Wing Boards on my Softail and they are by far, THE most comfortable boards I've ever put my tootsies on.....super thick rubber, you don't even feel the vibration when you wind the motor all the way out.
