Default What part of "DO NOT WASH!" dont you understand?

Worth Harley-Davidson Kansas City, MO

When you walk in the door they are super nice, listen to every thing you say tell you everything you want to hear.

But, soon as your bike goes through that service door its a crap shoot.

Went in for a new front tire, the very last thing I told the guy was DO NOT WASH!

I walk back to the service dept. and the guy says "you are all done and they washed the blue off the whitewall for you", I am thinking odd but ok so I walk out to the bike and its washed, seat is soaking wet (had to ride home with a wet *** on a sunny day) and it was a shitty wash job to boot.

Why?

Well, you should have seen how shatty your bike looked after they test drove it, over and over again through the vacant lot next door with the nice big mud puddle.

Brings back memories of Ferris Bueller's Day Off.

Communication is the key. Likely the kid washing your bike doesn't even see the job order. "Bikes done" kid just washes it.

Should have borrowed a towel, or asked for a free T shirt to use to dry the seat off.

Because there is very little communication between the service writer and the techs. I've had the same thing happen back when I used to take the bike to the dealer(no more). They have some 20 year old kid making min wage "washing" the bikes with the same dirty rag all day. Makes you cringe!

Sounds like the either the service manager or dealership manager needs to hear from you...

Bought a new bike back in '04 from a local dealer, and on the rare occasions it was there, they always washed it...never had a wet seat, or a complaint about a free wash. Just sayin...

The now closed Reggie Pink HD in White Plains, NY always returned your bike like new. Chico did all the detailing to all serviced bikes & was great. They probably paid him too much and it put them out! He was good!

I hope you tipped the kid washing the bike - not his fault - he was probably told to do it.
