What part of "DO NOT WASH!" dont you understand?

When mine was washed after service by a Pittsburgh, PA dealership, it looked like they used sandpaper to wash and dry it.
Scratches all through the prior pristine paint.

You must be a really easy mark,
I'll bet if they dented your tank while washing it you would not even complain,
Far Out!!!

Nope, just laid back and heavily insured...so's the dealer...
No problems with a dealer damaging any of my bikes since I got on one of these things in 1967... must be all that good karma I've been putting out all these years...

Well, you should have seen how shatty your bike looked after they test drove it, over and over again through the vacant lot next door with the nice big mud puddle.
Brings back memories of Ferris Bueller's Day Off.
Communication is the key. Likely the kid washing your bike doesn't even see the job order. "Bikes done" kid just washes it.

Our local dealer does a pretty decent job of washing your bike. One time I was in a hurry and asked them not to wash it and kind of regretted it as i had to wash it the next day.

I've learned it the first time I washed my bike. Now, I cover the seat with a garbage bag before washing the bike.

Now the truth comes out. It's not the wash that's the problem. Lashing out at the dealer is caused by the self-loathing that comes from being too cheap to buy a decent aftermarket seat.
