I have not had one minutes trouble out of mine but I was not forced to buy the one that the nanny state requires.

I have the Fi2000r in three bikes and my son has them in two bikes. They have functioned perfect for up to 6 years now.

They are not the California models. I did ride one bike in the Rockies and it ran too rich and acted just like your problem. Were your over 6,000 feet? If so before you go up into the mountains just turn the pots to 0. It is quick and easy.

The gain in performance in my 07 Softail and 10 Dyna Softail was outstanding.

I am getting ready to install in my 10 Ultra soon.

The one I went through Denver into the Rockies with was an 02 VTX1800. At the 11,000 + elevation at the Eisenhower Tunnel the bike would hardly run. I realized later that I should have turned the pots to zero when we filled up in Denver.

The have settings for stock, mod air filter only, exhaust only, both and for cams. Again the VTX was on for 6 years, 4 years on the FXSTC, and a year on the Dyna Superglide.

My son's VTX has been five years and his 06 Street Bob for four years.

I liken the Cobra to putting a bigger jet in the carb and raising the needle a notch. The Dyna has responded the most to the installation.
