I hate those commercials. Especially the high-speed crashes in slow motion. Anybody that rides knows that if you crash that fast, in those conditions, it's not going to be good, as in there's a good chance you're not gonna make. For that, I think they should be taken off the air.

Also, I just don't like to see them smashing up bikes, no matter what brand.

Yes...Flo. In the spank bank for sure.

However, the marketing genius at Progressive missed the mark as well when she says,

"....900 V-Twin"

Um, yeah, early Sportsters were 900 cc's, but come on, the general public is not going to know that. Nor would 90% of todays Harley owners for that matter. Plus, it just doesn't sound right.

And these marketing companies get paid the big bucks. Come on. Fail.

Allstate was WAY too high for me. It was almost like they didn't even want to insure bikes.

I entered Allstate's contest to win a Dave Perewitz custom while at their Milwaukee Rally display. They contacted me a few days later and I entertained a quote from them. It was about the same as I am paying AmFam, so not worth switching. Was concerned that they lowballed me and would raise the rate a couple years later. Anyway, they did have a good rate for starters for what its worth.

We were joking around at work about those ads in the morning the day I had my accident. They make me cringe as well. Can't comment on how they are as a policyholder. I had Nationwide, and after this wreck and all the crap that came with it, I'm going to switch to someone else, probably Geico.

Had Allstate for 3 years. Along with house and cars. Riders was much cheaper so went with them in may. Allstate cut prices pretty radically so went back with them also because they allow 1 million uninsured motorist.(or under insured) usually what happens is u get seriously injured by a moron cager that carries minimum insurance. It doesn't cost a lot to get that and it can save your family from bankruptcy from even a few weeks in hospital. Most health insurance is 80% at best. Just sayin.

Have had Allstate for almost 20 years, & my premiums are so low I almost don't even feel like I am insured.

As far as the commercial--the bikes getting destroyed are RICE, so who cares??!!

Like Progressive commercials better--I totally have the hots for FLO!

I think the comercials are a good dose of reality. I don't think a lot of new riders know the consequences of a motorcycle accident. I cringe when I see a new rider on a brand new expensive bike with wife or girlfriend on back and they have no protective gear on, and are dressed skimpy.
