Default Brake Light with Integrated Turn Signal...

Here I am again, back asking for advice.

I bought my bike with a Kuryakyn brake light that has integrated turn signals. It was a simple, clean, nice looking set up. My only complaint was that the turn signal portion of the light was weak. It had a flashing component that really grabbed attention when the brake was applied, which was great, but the turn signal was weak.

It is now completely dead. As I removed the cover to investigate, it was immediately clear that the wires connecting to the circuit board had eroded. Now I'm looking for a replacement.

I've quickly discovered that the market for LED brake lights with integrated turn signals is not quite as robust or popular as I would have thought. I've really only identified two options - the "Kuryakyn" replacement (which is ok, but has a weak turn signal); and a "Clear Alternatives" option - which I've not heard much about.

My google-fu is decent, but this topic is not returning many reasonable results aside from wild goose chases into the world of advertisements that aren't what I'm looking for. I have however learned more about Viagra and other male enhancements than I have at any other point in my life.

For your hospitable and courteous assistance with my search, I am prepared to acquire copious volumes of the adult beverages of your choice at the next meetup or event in my region in which I can utilize my newly acquired brake light to ride my motorcycle to.

Yours truly,
Rob

Great at night, not so much during the day. My friend from work has one of those on his race bike, almost slammed right into him a couple of times because I couldn't see the signal.

Use hand signals during daylight.

As my ultra is plenty bright, I wanted to ad more lights to the wifes honda vtx. The electrical conection in Knoxville Tn. makes a led kit that ads a ring of red running, brake lights to the stock turn signals, I went to clear lenses to make the red b righter for brake lights. the conversion used amber bulbs so they are as bright as stockers. The led running lights are dim in daylight but plenty bright at night. The brake led's are visable day or night. Jetsam

Check your state laws as well. I think some require a minimum distance between turn signals and brake lights.

After following bikes with those on, there's no way I would trust my life to one. As others said, almost impossible to see during the daytime.

I love the looks of the intergators and I had one on my old CBR600 F4 and it was fine. "Clear Alternatives" is a good brand and that is what I had-never has an issue at all. Yes some states have laws where the signals have to be like 9" apart, so don't I live in Ohio and myself or anyone else I know that has had an intergator has got stopped and we have all had cops see them many times. Yes the don't see the singals near as good so it's your call. Kury stuff sucks by the way
