I have been pull over by the police and they wanted to know who I rode with. I'm one that stop drinking 12 years ago. I see those poker run as a drunks run. Five stop couple drinks per stop. A drink is a drink don't drive.

I failed to see where the guy was charged with dui. I even did not see where it said he was driving impaired. and I am SURE if he was dui it would have said he was arrested for dui. The fact that he quit drinking 45 minutes before riding does not say how much he had to drink. I am sorry but it is people like you that give us a bad rep. Before you spread more false rumors, think before you type.

i was thinking the same thing. the article only states that he admitted to having a couple of drinks earlier. does not say what his bac was, or whether he was even charged with impaired.

i do not condone drinking and riding/driving. but the headline there smacks of sensationalism. if he had been driving a toyota, would there have been as much emphasis placed on the alcohol?

They seem to jump on that bandwagon to say it was "alcohol related" It makes a better story. Anything can be alcohol related, if you went to the grocery store and bought beer and some idiot hit you in the ***, it was alcohol related. It would have just been another accident if he had not been drinking at all but this makes it more interesting that he had been drinking hours, days or weeks before the crash. or maybe he looked at a beer in the cooler?

I'm sorry that that article made you all look bad.

I don't know who you all are, though, so perhaps I don't understand.

If the law states that you're NOT impared untill u reach a certain bac ,then you're not intoxicated period....there are all kinds of factors that come into play with the accident were talking about and we don't know thoes factors....Everyone has their own oppinion and thats fine....but if I choose to have a beer or 2 during a ride I will not tollarate anyone calling me unsafe or makking a bad choice.... thats why we have the choice......now that said there is a difference having a beer or 2 and getting wasted and driving...
