just changed my rear tire today, got 10,840 mi. on the factory dunlop(probably could've squeezed a little more out of it)...factory front still looks good and is still on the bike..

I don't know about that. We had 105 degree temperature for several days this summer. I've got 14350 miles on my tires. I measured 5/32 tread depth a couple of weeks ago.

You are right about the hot temperature on asphalt road.

I average 14k to the set. Always keep an eye on the pressure and don't rely on those after market pressure monitors. IF the cap comes off and they have you'll find yourself with three round sides and one flat. The old fashion tire gauge is the way to go.

i need new tires that will last longer the 7,000 miles on the rear
