Leather jacket care tips...
#22
I never thought of just soaking the jacket...... after a few trips through the south west I'm having a rough time getting the smell of dead cow out of m jacket and gloves. Its getting to the point where they both get left in the garage because they smell so bad....... like an old gym sock put away wet.......

I bought a Langlitz 23 years ago (before they cost a small fortune). I also bought 2 tubs of thier leather dressing. There is still alot left. I have only put it on 3-4 times and the coat is still like new. I use it on my gloves too. Its good stuff.

This is an email that I have received from a company that we do business with ..thought I would pass it on..
One of the top products you can buy for your leather jacket is
called Lexol. This brand is excellent for restoring worn leather,
bringing it back to its natural state.

I wipe my leathers down with it, once a year and after every ride in the rain. I've still got my first leather jacket (40 years), and its still soft as new. Of course, I can't fit my Fat *** into it, but I still got it. Waiting for that day, I get back down to 170lbs

My leather jacket is beginning to develop it's character. Haven't cleaned it for a long time now and it's showing it's miles. Still soft and has been stuffed down in a saddle bag quite a few times but doesn't wrinkle. I like the way it's beginning to look and don't think I'll be doing anything to it.

Just made a post about this, cleaned mine with mink oil, injury kept me from riding all summer, yesterday went to the garage and jacket is covered in mold. Was it the mink oil?
