What a bunch of BS. There are so many nosies I don't want to hear that I have to every day. I have to hear dogs barking, but my dog does not bark. I have to hear kids cry, but I have no kids, I have to hear the church bells ring by my house, but I have no bells to ring, So many things I don't like to hear, but have to and do not tell anyone that they can't make that nosie or enjoy what they do. leave us bikers alone. Loud and Proud.

 

I'Ve been riding for 20 years and I love a good sounding exhaust system as much as anyone. But many of the HD riders are completely ignorant of other peoples right to not get blown away by some jackass who thinks he has the right to run a cycle that sounds like a NHRA dragster. Around 20 of them passed my wife and I Saturday. They nearly blew our eardrums out...and it was very obvious that they enjoyed it. Screw them...I'm all for a law that will nail these guys good. As motorcyclists we are a minority. If we don't police ourselves on this issue...the majority who don't ride will. Again I'm all for our right to purchase aftermarket exhausts...A friend has one and it sounds great. It has a great sound but doesn't bother the neighbors at all. But I don't think it's our right to abuse the rights of non riders as do some of these idiots who behave like spoiled children.

 

Let me be the bad apple... runnin v&h short shots no baffle, no cones, and no apoligies. I hate jap cars (from detroit) but I don't try to stop people from buyin em and they have actually harmed american workers. we keep lettin govt help us and they are goin to help us into slavery.

Sure, anyone can show defiance in the face of this potential threat to our freedom to 'make a noise', easy as pie...but unless the juveniles amongst us show restraint, the threat will become a concerted campaign by the authorities to enforce the existing laws....

 

Its just one more step in the eco-***** crusade to clean up our lives and do the "right" thing. Its what their shoving down the kids throats from grade school through college.Pretty soon well all be so eco-correct and half of us here in Calif. wont have a job,except for maybe the illegals. Loud pipes or not Calif. is over-regulating its tax paying citizens right out of the game.
