Followed a guy out of Hewlitt once with a set of Boom Cans. Listening to him come into town I had pipe envy.... following him out of town, I backed off about a half mile because they were WAY too loud! Love my Rush Slip-ons... Good tone but not too loud!

I just measured my BAVO dB killers in the open position again and I came with full throttle to over 128 dB. That is deafening. But on 'medium' I came to 98/100 with full throttle and in 'touring position t0 96/98 with full throttle. Idle 'full open' 96 dB, in medium 90 dB and in 'touring' 86dB..Soon on e-Bay and very soon on U-tube with a introduction movie. Amazing results with the manual adjustable stainless steel BAVO dB killer..

I agree with all those who mentioned Samson as being the loudest pipe. I heard a set (can't remember which model, but they were shorter like V&H BRs) and they were obnoxiously loud. I thought my V&H BRs were loud, but the Samsons I heard made mine sound as quiet as a cockroach scurrying across a carpet.

I'm also old enough to not want any tickets, fines, attracting attention from the law etc. For the same reasons plus, I just like it, I generally drive the speed limit if left alone...5 to 8 over if pushed.
my thoughts as well. I'll read no further but to see another, what's the loudest pipe I can buy thread bugs me. ride what you want, but don't be mad when they pass more laws for idiots who blip their throttles in small towns to say, hey look at me.
