Close but the color is not the same. Aluminum has more of a blueish hue. Unless it's clearcoated you have to stay on `em and polish regularly to keep them looking nice. It will oxidize rather quickly.

Let me give you an easy example of polished versus chrome. Your levers, alhtough you may not hav noticed are polished. Everyone likes the chrome levers whent hey replace them.
Although over time you did not notice how dull your levers are go compare them to a set of chrome levers.

Chrome is the way.
My friend's Fat Boy has it's solid wheels highly polished. Similar to chrome but... veeery "similar" I don't like it.

No. I had the polished aluminum and they look good when cared for, but I went with the same style in chrome. Much easier to care for and they look better.

why not go for the polished aluminum then scotchbrite finish....looks tons better than chrome, and is easier and more forgiving in real world driving. alll you need to keep it clean is some wd40 and a scotchbrite pad. flat is the way to go. chrome is out!
