I used to kick start my lowrider on the jiffy. The one on this bike is 23 years old. Stop worrying so much. Worry about the next oil change.

The spring will break or fall off long before the stand. Don't buy the Drag Racing Specialties replacment springs, IMO. I bought one, and in a month it was gone. I broke the stock one horseplaying, but the DRS one fell off on its own, and the stand is not damaged.
