I have the Fox Creek Bomber jacket and love it. I had them send me one of those and the Commander Jacket and liked the Bomber better. I ended up with a 40 with the sleeves cut down a bit 'cause I've got short arms. The leather and quality is the best I've run across. It's the best jacket I've ever owned. I also like it because it doesn't have logos. Just my preference. In fact, if you go to the 2nd page of testimonials for the Bomber on the FC site, I'm there proudly wearing my new jacket.

schott doesn't just make the perfecto (classic style), they make cafe racer jackets too, very nice and if i were riding a triumph i'd probably be sporting one in a minute (actually probably not because i don't like the collars). i figure classic american bike calls for a classic american jacket not some euro-trash jacket (just kidding i really like the cafe jacket in brown) but still if cafe racer is your style schott makes em...

i hate to pimp a certain brand, but schott is a NYC classic and i'm from NY and they do use a good union i supported as an IT professional (never in the union but i worked in the FUNDS), and the leather and quality is great, it's not made in a foreign country and i think they make great stuff.

and if you shop around you can get them much cheaper than listed on their site.

I got this jacket beginning of this year and absolutely love it. Most comfortable jacket I've ever had, vents cool nicely, lining zips out and it has armor in the shoulders and elbow that I swore I'd take out but can't tell they're in there so I left em in.

Schott makes more styles of jacket than any other company I know - including probably half a dozen or more variations of the 2 styles you posted. I can buy one right now for $100 or less and my Perfecto (most well-known, but the style you don't like) was $250 brand new with tags. Schott also makes them with several leather choices, including horse, steer, naked cowhide, etc.

A size 48 jacket is $757.00, I do find it a bit humorous that they'll give you a T-SHIRT for 50% OFF. I think If you lay down that amount of coin they could throw you a free t-shirt.

Seriously entertaining...there are some upset peeps over there...Glad you take none of it personal...though I state so....LOL
Seriously though I rate Brooks right up there with Schott, can't go wrong. Love Brooks Brothers...have a discount store nearby, may have to drop in and take a look. The Schott really has my eye, but will have to wait a bit longer..not a big deal as it will not really get cold here until mid November.
Thanks for chiming in. Keep the suggestions coming as I am open to changes in purchases for a leather.
