I picked up a Fox Creek jacket in 2008, IMO it's the best one that I've come across. It's heavy and really solid. The size ran true as well.

Those two are basically the "style" of jacket I am looking for. If you have other companies with comparible leather thickness, American Made ("F" NAFTA), and in that price range (remember you get what you pay for).
So, basically, you are looking for a cafe racer style - I don't like the lack of pockets and double wind protection in front, so I wear traditional biker style jackets. But, if I was choosing one of those and spending $500, I'd take the Lil Joe's - I just liek the looks and every geek on the street doesn't have one.

If I wasn't limited to those, I'd look at Schott.

If I didn't want to spend $500, I'd go to Ebay and spend $50-100 on a used Schott or Brooks (or even $30-50 on a used Excelled). Plenty of new and used cafe style jackets on Ebay.

I realize this forum is full of people who would never put on "icky" used leather to get on their 2011 Ultra, freshly trailered back from the detailer, but I've been wearing used leather jackets since I bought my first one in a used leather store in Daytona in about 1986 and will keep buying used.

Fox Creek.
First jacket I got from them was small. Called them up, guy said what's your measurements? I told him, he said we're about the same size, this jacket fits me perfectly, I'll send it to you and send you a return label for the other.
He was right, jacket fits great. I just wish it "sealed" the around the neck a little better.

I own a Fox Creek. The product is excellent in quality. The company offers very good customer service.

I will be a loyal customer for life, not that I expect mine to ever wear out.

Bought the OL and myself a new Harley FXRG jacket 4 yrs ago. It was the best decesion I made. Its been a great jacket, and its waterproof with Gortex.........

If you git the right jacket for winter riding you normally only got to buy one that will last you 20 yrs or more if you don't gain weight.

I have a Lil' Joes vest. I sent them my measurments and height and they told me what my size was. It fits like it was tailored for me. The snaps were a bit stiff at first, but now that they are broken in, no problems.

That Fox Creek jacket looks nice. If there's one thing I can say about leather jacket's it's "You get what you pay for". I've been buying those cheapie swap-meet jackets for the last 30 years looking for a decent fitting one. They all seem Ok at first, then I have to admit to myself they really fit like crap. After being through about 10 of them in 30 years, I'm resolved to the fact that I just have to open up my cheap-azz wallet and PAY to get a good one.
