Seriously, the ladies in the Queens have all sorts of solutions for this. I never looked into it cuz none of those things were available back in the day.

Gypsy = Queen of the snappy one liners.

Definitely sounds like you need to consider some different bars and grips and perhaps an Easy Clutch. Does the barebones sit her any closer to the bars like a Reach seat would?

I adjusted my wife's clutch to catch as close as possible to the grip and it made it a lot easier for her.
