Great Picture!
I noticed you had your fork lock on. You afraid Ty's going to take your bike for a rip?
Happy Fathers Day!

What an adorable little man! Congrats to you! Adoption is such a great thing. My aunt & uncle adopted a kid from Romania. They too went through a long process and had to spend months overseas. But what an awesome thing to do!
And the bike looks good too!

His name is Ty. He was in the orphanage from his birth to about 22 months old. The country is very poor. Th avarage income where we were staying was 100 USD per month. Our escort was a college professior and had a Masters Degree and only made about 150 per month. In the orphanage there were only 1 caretaker per 10 kids and they were instructed not to give any individual love or attention to the children. So they were never held or kissed of shown affection in anyway. To learn to sit up by themselves they were tied to the posts of the cribs in a sitting position. They were fed the same food every day. It was sad to see. For us everything was cheap there. A 4 star dinner resturant cost only about 9 dollars for two people. But 9 dollars to them is a lot of money if you only make 100 per month. The escort told us they cant go out to eat because it is too expensive. The resturants we went to were nice and they did have good food there.
He has changed so much since he left the orphanage. He is not the same boy anymore. He lost almost all of his orphanage behaviour. It is amazing what love and affection can do for a child. He is now so affectionate to us. He loves to kiss all of us. He sleeps through the night which is a blessing. He does not cry much and he is so happy. It was a amazing transformation. From a scard, moody selfish child who would not share anything because they were used to fighting for food and toys. he has turned around 100 percent in the other direction. He so loving and giving now. I thought it would be a long road to change him but in only a couple of months he had made that change.

Longhair,
Your story about Ty is a very moving one. Once again, thanks for saving him from misery...he'll never truly know what you did for him. (Thankfully)

LHFL, that truly is a touching story. Thank you for sharing your blessings with us and he is a blessing. I'm with Mac: thank God he'll never truly know what you did for him. Bless you for loving that child. And that's a great looking bike.
