Yes, if you don't stop and fill up, you will definitely run out of gas eventually. Happens in Minnesota, Wisconsin, New York and California too.
LOL! Yeah that! ^^^
I was stationed at Minot AFB. Canada is about 40/45 miles to the North (Duh)
I had a Sportster with a 2.2 gallon peanut tank. Rode to the border, rode part of the way back and walked the rest... just reminiscing the good ol' days...
If your not sure where gas is , go to a truckstop and pick up a truckstop location guide , very detailed , and if you may be close on a segment slow down 5 mph , will add 30-50 miles a tank depnding on how thirsty your ride is.
You only get 150 miles out of a 5 gallon tank? Is that normal? I get 150 miles, before I hit reserve, on the 3.5 gallon tank on my WG.
I stop (or start looking for gas) at 100 miles, my 5 gallon tank will hold between 3.3 and 3.5 gallons then, so in theory I could only get 141.XXX to 151.XXX miles per tank.
Wow...I typically get gas around 191 miles on the odo....and I always put ~ 4.5 gallons in, so I still have another 20 miles left in her....all in all around 210 miles per tank pushing it to fumes.
No but don't push it. Last summer we ran across North Dakota on 94 and we had no issues, though we were running all time lows for gas mileage. My Dad's bike was at 25 mpg for one stretch, so don't think well I usually run 150 I'm only at 115 I'll go to the next exit.
I like your signature pic of the bikes riding in the rain. It sucks, but sometimes you just gotta do it...
