Bought my Heritage from a woman. So, it was a chick's bike, but now it is a guy's bike.

Sooo.... does that mean it's a "Transvest-bike"?

OMG...... I hate when someone calls my bike a "Chick Bike".
Personally, your Deluxe looks more like a "Chick on a bike" to me. A darn sweet looking bike at that. I would love to have one like it. It would primarily be my wife's, but I guarantee you that I would have a blast riding it too.

I always thought by "girls bike" they meant it attracts girls. I must have missed something there? I really like the looks of the Deluxe, it was between that and the Street Bob and I flipped a coin and the SB won. Next bike, Deluxe without a doubt. Oh yeah, I was in the Marine Corps also and I'm secure enough in my masculinity that I don't give a rats A** what anyone says about the bike I ride.

Shouldn't this be moved to the humor section?

Not being a Softtail guy, I had to go to the Harley site to see what all the hub-bub was about....

I like the thing, especially in that olive green paint scheme, and I don't think anyone is going to consider me a chick (I'd make a lousy woman... too fat and too hairy).

I think it's all over better looking than the Classic. But then, I ride a bagger, so the FLH line has always been my thing... (although if I was going to softtail it, I think the Deluxe is the best looking of the bunch)

In answer to this question.

Is the Deluxe a girls touring bike???
No, it lacks the required storage / closet space.

I ride mine every chance I get and love it. I don't really care if women also own the same model. Can't tell you how many compliments I get on it from men, women, black white etc. At no time did I hear (nor would I care) "Hey nice bike.....but isn't that kinda girly?". The comments people made or questions asked were about how old it was and if it was a restored bike from the 40s/50s. (did my heart a lot of good). Had an old man say it reminded him of his Old 48 Indian Chief. But mostly people just said "nice bike". The point is I think it is a nice bike, the compliments from others is just icing on the cake.
Bingo!

Hey dude, from the other thread you posted, I just wanted to ask, are you lookin for an excuse to get rid of your bike?

Also wonder if you are the type with more money than brains, no offence intended. Perhaps you need to go to the doctor and have your mangina examined.

It's a heavy bike. FL frame. I would respect any chic that ride one, and prolly wouldn't want to fist fight her. This is a tried and true road bike imho, speaking as a deluxe owner. Didn't a deluxe just win bike of the month around here?

And btw, a chic bike, is what you see a chic riding regardless of brand and model.

Ride More Worry Less

Thats it, mines for sale. I thought I was getting a beautiful bike that looks like its from the 50's, which is my style, and instead I'm being called a lesbian.
