Yes that could be. i got the bike very reasonable. 5400.00 . the guy was in trouble for money. ill post pics later. just joined this site. for the amount of chrome and accessories it has and the cosmetic apperance of the bike i think i got a real good deal. but..... as the saying goes...all that chrome wont get you home...lol just need to get it lined out. thes replies are really helping me . theres guys on here that have been riding a lot longer and wrenched on bikes a lot more than i have. there feedback is giving me a lot of options as to what the prob may be.

If your fairly new to riding and harleys in particular 2 bits of advice . Get a manual the factory version not a Clymers best thing you will buy besides the bike . Second checking for a problem always check the simple stupid stuff first please , 8 out of 10 times it's something simple or readily repairable . Seen way too many bikes were owners tore into things that had zero to do with the problem like taking the engine apart for a knock that was really a chain needing adjustment type stuff .

You'll find it , I'm betting it isn't that bad .

A shot in the dark: are the wheels balanced?

Had an odd vibration that turned out to be an out of balance wheel.

i agree the factory repai manual is going to be a big plus. as far as the tires im having them balanced as we speak. ive got the bike on a stand. front and rear whell is off.per suggestion on here ..i loostened both front and rear motor mounts ...to do the centering process and i noticed that when i loosened the front one the mount kinda jumped to the right a little bit and the holes wouldnt line back up untill a actually pried the mount over. whats that about???so i put a block under the back of the motor also and took the bolts completely out of the rear one and it shifted to the left. about half a hole. havent dug into the primary yet. thats next. what would cause that motor to shift like that??
