Layed it down
#31
I went down a few years ago on a rainy, cold night and bike was still rideable (although the bars were bent and parts were hanging off or on the ground and my leg was bleeding pretty bad). I got help getting it out of the ditch and back on the road and rode it on home. The fear didn't set in till I got it all fixed up and for the first few weeks I was tentative. That eased with some time (probably a couple months) but every time I pass the spot i think about it. I'm a much better rider now for it. I thank the Lord for the experience and His protection.

When I was a kid I crashed my bike every time I rode it. Just thought it was normal. Still have the scares on my legs at 52 years old. I hope I got all that out of my system!

I've got a rod and 4 pins in my leg. Nothing will get you on the bike faster than 4 months of watching TV. I do pay more attention to my braking now. I found out my bobber doesn't like panic stops.
