I've been wanting to get rid of the football air cleaner cover for awhile and get a Nostalgic round cover.

I saw where another poster temporarily replaced his with a CD so I 'borrowed' one from my son's collection. Although it's got lots of scratches on it it don't look half bad.

I don't know. It was one of his homemade ones. It was pretty scratched up, so I got a new one at work and put it on.

When the sun hits the new one, it changes colors like that expensive Dupont paint.

The technology for color shifting pigments was created for the government to use on the new paper currency. When it was first made available to the paint companies, there was very strict security on it. It is readily available now, and cost much less than it used to. It's not a DuPont product. Every paint company has it.

 

Mal74, That is great. I want to do it. Did you have to change the stocvk backing plate? What kind of filter did you use? Does it stick out much farther than football? Thanks
