Their web site says $80 a night

When we were there in July I paid $55 plus tax for a very nice room with one king size bed. When I walked in to check on a room the guy at the front desk asked if I was riding a motorcycle, when I said yes he said motorcycles get the best rate in the house $55. They also let you park your bike right outside the front office doors in the dry where they will watch them for you at night. May want to give them a call to check prices first.

When/if you go through Birmingham, you may want to check out the Barbers motorcycle museum, look it up on the net, it is a great place for the motorcycle lover. But, it is MY advice that you stay away from the 29 Dreams motorcycle resort, we were not impressed.

While in the "Gap" area, we stayed at a little mom and pop motel called The Tuskeegee Inn, while it is old cinder block buildings, it is clean, friendly and cheap. Met a lot of motorcyclists there. It's on the net also, but like others said, you need to make reservations now, especially if you are going to be there during a weekend.

When you go, make sure to make the trip from Tenn. to NC along the Cherohala (spelling ?) Skyway, it is a beautiful ride. Most of all, have a great time.

+1 on the Iron Horse Lodge. It's a nice place with good people. You'll want that campfire at night if you're going to be there in October. It's going to be chilly.
