springer front end

RE: springer front end
I love the Springer. Ride is very smooth but it will bottom out. Does require a little more maintenance with the rocker bushings. Especially if you ride the rain or in the dirt alot.
One company (I think American Suspensions) uses roller bearings in the rockers. Now that's the ticket. Wonder if the roller rockers can be retrofitted into the HD version?

I have a 98 Heritage Springer and a 02 Road King. They both handle good and the Springer does not require anymore "work" to ride than the King. I like them both. but the Springer is a little more fun to ride. (By the way, the HS is for sale)

Dealer told me springer softail is better value because if you bought the springer forks they cost 2700.00

Still, if I can get the Harley Springer forks, and they can make em fit- I'll pitch out the dough for em. Has anyone done this?

RE: springer front end
I was looking for a black springer for mine and Harley said they don't sell them any longer. You have to buy the parts separately and piece it together/ around3500$ !! Best bet is to go aftermarket or look for a used one.Theres a guy in townthat hasa night train with a springer on it and it looks awesome.I,ll probably take mine apart this winter and powdercoat it to match the frame like the CVO bikes.
