got another question. i found the parts i was looking for with chicago. but now everytime i go back into the h-d main website, it says i'm shopping online with chicago. anyone know how to get it to go back to default so i can see the MSRP?
here's what i found so far from Chicago:
1. 66906-10 S/E jet black 2-1 exhaust shields $159.96
2. 80846-10 S/E jet black Night Stick $223.96
Kind of curious as to how much cheaper this is from chicago compared to h-d's MSRP price.

never mind. i see on chicago harley that they show both MSRP and their price.
So, above are the chicago prices. below are the MSRP prices:
1. 66906-10 S/E jet black 2-1 exhaust shields $199.95
2. 80846-10 S/E jet black Night Stick $279.95

price difference:$95.98

sounds pretty good to me. gonna call and hopefully get a shipping quote. 17 bucks.

Ordered!

Lake Shore Harley.....lshd1.com

20% off HD parts, 15% off Kuryakyn and other manufacturers they carry which vary. Bill runs the internet based orders and every few months free shipping with $250.00 or more..........so that's only a few items

Only place I would buy from, fast shipping as well.

There site's not the greatest but just have the part numbers and plug them in, usually just keep the official HD accessory page open and just copy/paste

i have bought thru both you just have to compare before you hit buy, sometimes they will have specials with no shipping if over 150$ but most of the time if it is something under a certain amount by the time you pay shipping its just best to go to your local dealer, also alot easier if you need to exchange for what ever reason paying for sending a item back and return again, adds up

I found Pat Rogers HD in Concord N.C. at 800 560-8863 or their website to be about 15% less than MSRP for parts. What I do then, is print out their price showing the part number etc. Then I take that print out down to my local HD dealership (Adamec) here in Jacksonville, Fl. and they'll match the lower price with the print out. That way I don't have wait and pay those high UPS shipping charges.

Saving money on parts and accessories

Look up part numbers from the first three
links below, then order from Zanotti's or Chicago Harley Davidson. (Zanotti's and Chicago Harley Davidson give at least 20% off parts and accessories including aftermarket parts.)

Original Part Numbers (Parts that originally came on your bike):
http://partsfinder.onlinemicrofiche....m_oem/hdmc.asp

Find your year, model, part, then put a 1 in the qty box of the item or items that you want the part number of, then click on "add items to parts list", then click on "send to cart" to get the part number.

Genuine Motor Accessories Part Numbers (chrome, etc.):
http://www.harley-davidson.com/gma/g...bmLocale=en_US

Motor Clothes Merchandise Part Numbers (jackets, boots, etc.):
http://www.harley-davidson.com/mcm/m...bmLocale=en_US

Add /_ _ _ _ for size of an article of clothing after the part number when doing a search on Zanotti's or Chicago Harley Davidson's website's?

small........................./000S
medium..................../000M
large........................./000L
xlarge......................./002L
xxlarge...................../022L

000's are zero's not letters

I've tried a few but Chicago H-D has got my business. All of my orders have been with free shipping. I've wait a little longer than I had thought but it was worth the wait for the savings.

that's an excellent idea. will have to see if the local 5 or 6 dealers in san diego do the same.
