Default Torque Wrench

Tomorrow I am going by a Torque wrench, as you all know I am new to Harley and I am not a mechanic. Should I buy a 1/4 drive or 3/8 drive. I am only going to buy 1 so which will be better. (please no flames)

3/8 drive - about 5-75ft/lbs will do for most things.
1/4 in inch/lbs

You will need both. Try to catch a Craftsman on sale at Sears

Just pick up a harbor freight 1. Unless of course you prefer dumping lots of dough in it.

Choice is yours. I have never been one to skimp on my tools, but it's your call. Remember that you will need both inch pounds and foot pounds.

Wink

You bought the best motorcycle. Buy the best torque wrenches you can afford and learn how to use them properly. I use several different ones everyday. Mine are all Snap-on, but you don't need to go to that expense for a do-it-yourselfer. Probably the best ones for the money are Craftsman beam type. Affordable enough that you may get 1/4, 3/8 and 1/2" with $100 or $200.

Yes. It will work fine. But again it's your money. mines atleast 5yr old I belive really don't remeber. Same bull I got when I bought mine buy this one or that one, it really was bull. This post is entirely of my opinion and represents no one but myself. Almost forgot use the search feature and type in harbor freight and get some folks input as well should give you better piece of mind.
