Who likes Foremost Insurance ?
My adjuster told me that he can't guarantee that my bike will be safe to ride after $10,000 of crash damage repair. He said motorcycles aren't safe to ride anyways. He seems more intent on nickel-and-dime'ing the repair shop. That's his job.
I understand the busine$$. I don't understand why he wants me to change insurance companies when this is all said-and-done.
Do people sue their own insurance companies ? Which insurance companies are people here happy with ?
It's been a month since my accident, and I STILL don't have an estimate. ANd then I get to wait for painted parts. I got hit in July, and it's possible I may not have a bike to ride until next year at this rate. Of course, I've already paid for insurance, and I won't need it for the rest of the year....

When my '97 Ultra was totaled in 2001, It was insured with Daryland through Harley-Davidson Insurance Co. They paid off quickley, full amount, with no questions asked.
If I were you, I would be hunting a new "agent".

I used foremost when I first got my bike (had to have insurance to drive off) my insurance agent (State Farm) would not write a policy for a motorcycle and not see it first, paid for 6 months with foremost, and canceled as soon as I could get my agent to write me a policy. No claims with foremost, so I dunno about them, no claims with State Farm for the bike, so again I dunno, several claims with State Farm for automobiles and I know they will cut a check the same day the adjuster looks at it. As far as suing your insurance company, it happens everyday, the insurance company want to pay as little as possible and that might mean using aftermarket parts, or used parts, or even trying to repair damaged parts, if you and them don't see eye to eye then something has to give, or if the insurance company says $2500 in damage and it was really more like $3500 and they don't want to budge, then suing them might be the only answer. As far as them being slow to get it repaired, I would call my state insurance commissioner, and discuss my situation with them.

I had foremost for 5 years. They gave me a good rate of $360 a year for full coverage + $3000 in add ons. $500 ded. So I totaled my bike last year and had to argue with them about pay off for over a week when we got around to the claim. They wanted to pay me $11,000 for it and after going rounds with them I got $16,000 and some more grey hair. When my policy came up for renewal they upped my rate $200 a year. I dropped them like a bad habit. Went with Safeco with the same coverage and $250 ded. and my rate is $278 a year.

I left foremost and went with dairyland this year and saved almost five hundred dollars. I was with foremost for six years---they suck. I didn't know how bad they were poking my eyes out till I shopped around.

Foremost is the "high risk" segment of Farmers Insurance. Farmers agents steer folks into Foremost when the "real" insurance corp doesn't want the account catagory. As such, the cost can be quit burdensome.
