Would You Buy New HD If They Moved To Mexico Or Overseas

Haven't heard anything about it myself (I live in México).
I worked for a company that manufactured all the speedometers and some other components for Harley. Nationalism and business last together as long as profits hang around with 'em. Take Corona beer for an example, produced in México but long time owned by foreing capitals... it sucks... it's the way damn business are...
Mimo.
Ps: I'd have to visit the facilities and get convinced that the manufacturing/quality transference was indeed successful. I'd probably buy one.

But America would still be better off if Americans cared enough to buy American. And it wouldn't hurt if Canada bought American, too. My Ford and Mercury were built in Canada. But I'm pretty sure the manufacturer paid income taxes in America, and the money stayed here for awhile.

Did the money stay in America, or did it go to Japan ?

I wanted a Harley-Davidson motorcycle for a LONG time before I finally got one. I wanted one because they are an American icon and legend. Because of that image they have made for themselves, I doubt that production would ever move off-shore. I would be shocked and almost feel betrayed if such a thing happened (being the idealist and romanticist that I am).
So, NO. I would not buy a Harley-Davidson built in any other country besides the U.S.A.
