Yep...it's actually called the Sturgis South Motorcycle Rally....

 

Yep...heading there Saturday morning for a bit...then riding the Trace to Natchez...got a buddy of mine who is heading back to Texas Saturday.

 

Just how many "Little Sturgis' are there?...

I'm surpised more rallies haven't adopted the use of "Sturgis." Imagine if you will, your local dealership promoting the "Little Sturgis Pancake Run" or how about "Little Sturgis Bike Night at Hooters. What, no "Little Daytonas?" No "Little Laconias?" There's a marketing hook waiting to happen...

Also there is an event at the Quad cities called Sturgis on the River.
I recall hearing that Sturgis had a law suit against other Sturgises (or is that Sturgi) over use of the name.

 

It's a "kid" weekend for me so....no. I missed the last one too. Is this a dry county? What are ya doing for "walkin around" beer? Gonna try to make Sandy Hook in a few weeks though. Report back and let us know how it went.
