Seems like most people here worry about what someone looks like rather than their bike. Who cares if they tear down a new bike and build up from it to make it their own? It's THEIR bike not yours. I think respect should be given to someone who does that, especially from the biker community.
Personally, I think it's more difficult and risky to tear down a new bike and build it up. I give more respect to people that keep the vintage bikes original. I have a 07 Nightster that I do my mods on and a 1950 Dodge coupe that I keep all original. I guess my thinking is *** backwards from the masses on here.

Lately considering all the bikers with highway pegs on outside of crashbars the new breed.Seems lately all the cowboys I see have size 16 feet layed out both sides taking up the whole lane.

a lot of us grew up on skateboards/snowboards/bmx. most like metal and punk and gangster rap. the scene has a lot of different bikes and different periods. i ride a new street bob (don't have time to wrench) and im as welcome as the dude on his raked out shovel. dudes are real in this scene. dudes are respectful. and the rides are a blast.
yes. its fact.

i met a lot of righteous ****'s at smokeout. everyones doing their thing. doesn't matter what you ride. what matters is that you ride.

you gotta respect a group that does 3,000 miles for a two-day party in the dirt.

i met a few guys with the farty old harley attitude. they stayed in motels, whined about the heat, whined about the lack of vendors, and passed us when we were broke down. douchebags every one.

but i saw an old biker pull parts off the shovelhead in the back of his truck and give them to a complete stranger. so good people come in all shapes and sizes.

I like some of the bikes. Seems the more people on two wheels the better. And when all us old guys are gone.....
